Gastric ulcers in horses is very common among competition horses, horses on stall rest, or those who have been traveling this summer or endured a stressful event. American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) states that 60-90% of horses have stomach ulcers, depending on their age, performance and populations.

Solas Equine Veterinary is very excited to announce its first equine education seminar and grateful to Boehringer Ingelheim for sponsoring our event! Dr Hoyt Charamie (DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVS), boarded equine surgeon and veterinarian, evaluates thousands of equine stomachs every year. He will share the physiology for why these ulcers develop in our beloved horses, ideas for gastric ulcer prevention, and treatment/support for horses who have ulcers.

We invite you to save the date (SEPTEMBER 12, 2019) for this exclusive event to raise awareness around the impact of equine ulcers and gastric health on the performance and well-being of all horses. Space is limited. Reserve your spot today for a lovely dinner, drink and educational presentation! RSVP by August 19th.
